Vitamin K2 plays a central role in calcium metabolism, the main mineral found in your bones and teeth. Vitamin K2 activates the calcium-binding actions of two proteins — matrix GLA protein and osteocalcin, which help to build and maintain bones.
Vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 ensure that calcium is absorbed easily and reaches the bone mass, while preventing arterial calcification. Helping to keep your heart and bones healthy. Separately, K2 regulates normal blood clotting, whilst D3 supports a healthy immune system and supports muscle function.
It may take a few weeks to a few months before your vitamin K2 levels and symptoms start to improve.
Your doctor or pharmacist will advise you how long you need to take D3 & K2 tablets.
You may be able to stop taking it when your vitamin K2 levels are back to normal.
However, you may need to take it for the rest of your life.
