Vitamin D Sports Performance
Our 1,000 IU and 20,000 IU strength tablets are certified by Informed-Sport and Informed-Choice and have undergone an extensive procedure carried out by the anti-doping laboratory LGC Sport and Specialised analytical service to ensure that it is free from a wide range of substances banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Informed-Choice and Informed-Sport are quality assurance programs for sports nutrition products, suppliers to the sports nutrition industry, and supplement manufacturing facilities. It is a monitoring program that certifies that a supplement product and/or raw material that bears the Informed-Choice or Informed-Sport logo has been tested for banned substances by LGC’s world-class sports anti-doping laboratory.
This provides the highest level of assurance for athletes that the product is safe to use. Many sports sectors benefit from our supplement including UK championship football teams and Northern Ireland Sports Institute for winter supplementation of their elite athletes.
In addition, it has been found, through our affiliation with One Dance UK, that athletes who participate in high endurance sports and those who train indoors should also consider supplementing weekly with 1,000 IU and 20,000 IU tablets. You can read the full report findings and abstract carried out as part of the control study here.
Professor Matthew Wyon, PhD, CSCS from Research Centre of Sports Exercise and Performance, Institute of Sport at the University of Wolverhampton states:
“Vitamin D supplementation is not only used for treating patients lacking vitamin D but also proven to be vital for elite athletes and dancers for improvements in muscle performance and subsequent reduction injury”.
A recent article in IADMS (International Association for Dance Medicine & Science) describes the role of vitamin D3 in dance medicine and its contribution to the maintenance of normal bones and muscle function.
