What is in SunVit-D3?

SunVit-D3 contains 1000IU of pure vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) with no other vitamins. Additional ingredients are dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, silicium dioxide, magnesium stearate. SunVit-D3 tablets are small, tasteless and easy to swallow.

What is 1000IU?

SunVit-D3 contains 1000IU of vitamin D3 and the 'IU' stands for International Units. International Units are used to measure the biological activity of some vitamins and are based around the same measure as milligrams but are not equivalent.

How many tablets are in a pack?

One pack of SunVit-D3 1,000IU contains 180 tablets. This is equivalent to six months supply.

Dosage

The recommended dose is one tablet daily. Research has shown that one tablet of SunVit-D3 daily is enough to maintain optimal levels of vitamin D3 in the bloodstream.

What is the current Recommended Daily Intake (RDA) of vitamin D3?

The current RDA of vitamin D3 is 400IU. However, scientific research has shown that this is not enough to elevate vitamin D3 to a healthy level resulting in a call for an increase in the RDA to 1000IU. This level of intake has been scientifically proven to raise blood concentration of vitamin D3 to a healthy level.

Is SunVit-D3 suitable for vegetarians?

The vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) used in SunVit-D3 is derived from lanolin which is found in sheep's wool. Many vegetarians consider this to be an acceptable source of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). SunVit-D3 is free from gelatin, yeast, wheat, soy, gluten and dairy products.

Should anyone not take vitamin D3?

SunVit-D3 is not recommended for children under 11 years. Pregnant of nursing women should consult their doctor before use.

Are there any side effects?

Toxicity is very rare and only occurs at over 77,000IU per day over a sustained period of time. Symptoms include irritability, nausea, constipation, weakness and weight loss.

Are there any foods I shouldn't eat or supplements I shouldn't take while taking SunVit-D3?

No. SunVit-D3 is completely safe. You can continue to eat vitamin D3 rich foods such as oily fish and take other vitamin and mineral supplements in conjunction with SunVit-D3.

Can I overdose on SunVit-D3?

SunVit-D3 has been used in clinical trials at daily doses of 8,000IU without any observed side effects. Toxicity of Vitamin D3 is extremely rare and has only been found to occur at 77,000IU per day over a sustained period of time.
